Code of Conduct
Player Code
1. No swearing or abusive language on the bench, in the rink, or at any team function.
2. No lashing out at any official no matter the nature of the call on the ice. The coaching staff will handle all matters pertaining to officiating.
3. Anyone who receives a penalty will skate directly to the penalty box.
4. Fighting will not be tolerated and may result in suspension or permanent dismissal from CPYHA.
5. There will be no drinking, smoking, chewing of tobacco, or use of illegal substances at any team function.
6. I will conduct myself in a respectful and befitting manner at all facilities and on social media when representing CPYHA (ice rink, hotel, restaurant, etc.) during any team function, including on-ice practice and play.
7. I understand that players or team officials who cannot abide by these rules or who violate them will be subject to further disciplinary action or permanent dismissal from CPYHA.
Suspensions or expulsions will not entitle any family to a refund of any kind. Parents are responsible for the player’s actions and will be held financially liable for them.
Expectations
- Player Code of Conduct should be reviewed with families prior to the season starting.
- Coaches will review Code of Conduct at the beginning of each season and ad hoc.
